The Only Thing to Fear…
Wednesday, February 24th, 201074 Days until Graduation
Does that scare you? Does that excite you? A little of both? I’d like to dispel a myth that I have been getting from quite a few seniors: you are not the only one “behind” in the job search process. In other words, your peers most like have no idea what they are going to do after graduation either.
That’s okay and that’s normal. There is absolutely no shame in that. Frustration, fear and anxiety are all a normal part of graduating. As are excitement, grief and exhilaration. Life is full of emotional tension…it’s the way it is.
Having (hopefully) dispelled the myth, I want to encourage you to take focused action. Finding a job is hard. Going to grad school may seem easier, but even after you get that advanced degree, you’re going to have to get a job.
If you need a jumpstart in your job search or just want to run some ideas by us, come to our office, we would be happy to assist and hopefully equip you to face your future with less fear and more excitement.
